The standard rate for web site publishing and e-newsletters is $80.00 per hour, billed in quarter-hour increments.
For heavy copyediting and re-writing, the rate is $12.50 per page. For proofreading and light copyediting, the rate is $.03 per word. These are very close to the industry standard (see Common Rates for Editorial Services).
For large projects and original writing, contact me to negotiate price and payment terms.
Incidentals (phone, fax, copies, and postage) are included in rates. If significant costs such as out-of-town travel are required, they will be accounted for in the estimate and contract.
Total due is billed after the project is completed or bi-weekly for projects of longer duration. Unless otherwise agreed upon, payment is due 30 days from invoice date. A $10 late fee is assessed after 60 days; $25 after 90 days.
