These links to a few examples of my work will open in new windows.
Web Site Design: The site you are now viewing was created from scratch using CSS, HTML, some Javascript, and various graphics programs.
Downes Elementary School PTA: My work on this site (done pro bono) includes redesigning and converting it to nearly table-free CSS and maintaining content using hand-coded HTML and MS Expression Web.
Web Site Maintenance: I updated monthly promotions and made changes to the navigation and submenus using HTML, PHP, Javascript, and Fireworks.
Site Maintenance: This is a church's web site for which I cleaned up the HTML and CSS code and brought the content up to date.
Content Production, CSS Coding: This is a sample e-newsletter for a trade association. I wrote the content and coded the layout on a weekly basis. I also cleaned up the code and converted inline HTML styles to CSS. I created print and screen media styles to simplify the process of creating fax versions each week. [Client has since removed images from server.]
Editing, Writing Regulatory Subject Matter: The client, a trade association, developed a resource packet for members that incorporated summaries and other materials related to the U.S. bioterrorism regulations. My role was to: edit four regulatory summaries into one document, write an introduction and conclusion, compile relevant FDA compliance documents and other relevant resources, and write a cover letter for mailing with the packet.
Editing Legal Summaries: This document was written by lawyers to advise members of the food industry on how to enact a recall. My role was copyedit for usage, style, and syntax/clarity and to edit for tone, voice, and organization, i.e., translate from “legalese” to plain English.
Writing Case Studies: The client, a custom printer, sought to promote its services by publishing case studies of its clients’ projects. My role was to convert rough notes into 250-word case studies for publication in promotional materials produced by the client.
